I began my journey in guitar craftsmanship in 2019 while working as a sales associate, under the tutelage of Richard Leighton at Arbutus Music. Richard, who embarked on his own path in Vancouver in 1985 with Eiichi Ishikawa, has been a guiding force in guitar repairs. Eiichi, a master craftsman from Japan with over 40 years of experience, not only taught Richard but is renowned for his custom classical guitars.

Both Eiichi and Richard have an impressive portfolio, having worked for acclaimed artists such as Bryan Adams, Bob Rock, the Scorpions, David Bowie, and many more. This experience has enriched their craft and solidified their standing in the world of luthiery.
