Majority of cracking in instruments tends to be from changes in environment, humidity and heat play a big part in the health of your instrument.

Seal crack up to 3"

Humidify and seal crack. (No Finish Touch-up)

$15 for each additional inch up to 6"

Seal crack up to 6"

Anything more than 6" will require a more in depth inspection and quote.

Seal and cleat crack up to 3"

Depending how and where the instrument has cracked, sometimes there is a need to install cleats from the inside. After inspecting the instrument we can provide you options and advice of what is needed.

Cracked Bridge Repair

$60-100

Bridges can crack for a variety of different reasons. Heat and humidity changes can play a big part. However the biggest culprit we typically see is when the bridge pins have been pushed in too far, acting as a wedge and splitting the bridge.

Reglue Lifting/Separating Bridge

Re-attaching & regluing bridge to the top. No cosmetics.

Headstock Breaks

Minor Headstock Reglue

For the less extensive jobs, where the headstock is not fully detached. No cosmetic touch-ups.

Major Headstock Reglue

For the more extensive jobs, where the headstock has detached completely or has multiple pieces. No cosmetics touchups.

All other work

$90/hr

While we try to provide estimates for the most common repairs that we see, the numerous variations in instruments and their conditions may require personalized assessments. Services or repairs that are not listed with a fixed rate are billed out at an hourly bench rate.
